Kimmel slams Trump over Oscars ratings jab

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel fired back at President Trump on his show Tuesday night over the president's jab at the Academy Awards.
In his show's monologue, the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" host mocked the president with a reference to Oscar-winning drama "The Shape of Water," which Kimmel said related to the president's "life story."
“Trump always has a problem with the Academy Awards, which is surprising because I really think he would love the best picture winner, ‘The Shape of Water,’" Kimmel joked.
"The movie, if you haven’t seen it, it’s about a monster who has sex with a woman who can’t talk about it. Basically, it’s like his life story. Right?"
Kimmel also addressed Trump's attack on the Oscars specifically, which the president tweeted Tuesday morning were the "lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY."
"Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore - except your President (just kidding, of course)!” the president added.
"So I tweeted to him, 'thanks, lowest rated president in HISTORY,'" Kimmel said, to cheers. "I want to point out, my tweet got twice as many likes as his tweet got."
Kimmel, a vocal critic of Trump, hosted Sunday night's Academy Awards in Los Angeles, and took numerous shots at Trump and his administration during the event.
“None other than President Trump called ‘Get Out’ the best first three-quarters of a movie this year," Kimmel joked Sunday.
“Out of the nine best picture nominees, only two made more than $100 million. That’s not the point. We don’t make films like ‘Call Me By Your Name’ for money. We make them to upset [Vice President] Mike Pence," he added.
