Starting today, within the framework of the Goût de France/Good France 2018 international event, French cuisine with Azerbaijani products will be presented by four biggest restaurants in Baku on April 7-13.
The Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez said on Friday this event is a leading aspect of France and its culture at a press conference dedicated to the France gastronomy week.
“It is also a genuine factor to increase the number of tourists visiting the country,” she added.
Meanwhile, Goût de France international event brings together 3000 restaurants in five continents to mark France’s gastronomy by inviting the public to share a “French dinner”.
During a week French food lovers will be able to find a “French-style” menu with a traditional French aperitif, a cold starter, a hot starter, fish or shellfish, meat or poultry, a French cheese (or cheeseboard), a chocolate dessert, French wines and digestifs (an alcoholic beverage) in the following restaurants:
- Saturday, April 7, at 19:30 – JW Marriott Absheron, restaurant Fireworks Urban Kitchen
- Monday, April 9, at 19:30 – Fairmont Flame Tower, restaurant Le Bistro
- Tuesday, April 10, at 19:30 – Paris Bistro, Chef Tibo Bera
- Friday, April 13, at 19:30 – Pullman Hotel, Chef Elchin Lutfaliyev
This gastronomic journey is a perfect illustration of two important aspects of French culture: promoting local specialities and openness to the outside world.
In the meantime, Goût de France Bakou 2018 (Good France Baku 2018) event is organized by the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, together with the JW Absheron Marriott, Fairmont Hotel, Paris Bistro and Pullman Hotel.
