Bangladesh is a strikingly beautiful country with a variety of cultures and a rich history. It is not surprising that here they pay special respect to their customs and traditions, which are sometimes unique.
The Bengali New Year is a holiday that symbolizes the beginning of a new year in the territory of Bangladesh, the west of Bengal and in the national Bengali communities, and is celebrated on April 14. The holiday has no religious affiliation: it is celebrated by Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, Muslims and others.
November 30, 2016 UNESCO, noting the impact on the formation of universal solidarity and democratic principles, introduced the celebration of the Bengal New Year in a representative list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity .
In this regard, Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, chief executive officer and chief editor of Ekushey Television Ahsan Bulbul, Executive Director, Centre for Development Communication (NGO) Muhammad Jahangir, congratulated Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), on the onset of the Bengali New Year. These people have contributed greatly to the dissemination of information about the unique beauty and traditions as well as the cultural values of the Bangladeshi people during their communication period with the representatives of the Fund. Former Adviser to the president of the IEPF, Lutfull Kabir, originally from Bangladesh, during his tenure in the office, has done tremendous work to promote integration between the IEPF and the structures in Bangladesh.
For his part, Umud Mirzayev, on behalf of himself and on behalf of the Fund, expresses gratitude for the attention and congratulates his friends, as well as all the residents of Bangladesh and wishes them a happy New Year.
