The petition related to the Armenian terrorist attacks in the Moscow subway in January 1977 continues to gain momentum in the internet. The petition was initiated by well-known Russian political scientist and historian Oleg Kuznetsov.
As expected, the petition directed against the Armenian terrorism has caused a large number of responses, including negative ones, in social networks. Mostly people welcomed the initiative, though there are also some who accused the Russian political scientist in fomenting anti-Armenian moods. Despite such insinuations, the petition continues to gain votes and already caused intrigue.
Time will tell whether the petition addressees will react and how they will react to the appeal. However, it is possible that there will be some interesting facts in the near future due to the beginning of the company. The political scientist in one of his status on Facebook noted that after dialing 5000 petition votes, some important mystery will be solved.
Oleg Kuznetsov told more about this to Azerbaijani media.
"Yes it is, but I want to make one small adjustments - We should have 5,200 or even 5,500 signatures to have a certain margin of safety, thanks to which the information will be even more significant. In the meantime, I'll manage hints: my old friend Rasim Huseynov, in the past - the captain of the Soviet militia, which I know a third of my life, recalled his youth and made operational and analytical report, with which I will be ready to introduce everyone through Azerbaijani press, as soon as the ultimatum of the 5200-5500 collection of signatures for a petition will be implemented. If I do it before, then there will not be the desired effect. I can’t say to avoid the countermeasures. As Azerbaijanis say “each fruit must ripen”. In regard to the process of collecting signatures, today 4500 people already signed the petition.
As told Kuznetsov, during the first week of campaign in support of the petition very significant result was achieved, the petition easily collected 3,000 signatures.
“But then – it was over. On Sunday, about 200 people joined us, and during the first three days of last week, we received a total of 20-30 signatures per day. Activity dropped 10 times. In those days I experienced a state close to depression, but I took emotions in my hands and gave interview to the media in which I spoke honestly about the situation. This interview, to my great surprise have had the desired effect – 4500 signatures” - Russian politologist said.
The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin also was added as an addressee. The resolution for the construction of monument to the victims of terrorist attack of Armenian nationalists in Moscow metro in the territory of Russian capital depends on him, said our interlocutor.
“Today, I am negotiating with several Russian sculptors and architects for the development of an idea or concept of the memorial sign to victims of the terrorist attack of Armenian nationalists in Moscow. However, we can’t say beforehand whether this idea will be continued or not” - Kuznetsov said.
