On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide Eurasia Diary took an exclusive interview with an eyewitness of tragedy ,military journalist, and a member of the Lithuanian Union of Journalists Richard Lapatis.
In his exclusive interview Richard Lapatis spoke about Khojaly massacre's realities and as well as terrible moments and feelings that he lived. He made interesting reports and recorded fragments that occured from 20 January 1990 until a ceasefire in 1994.
The film covers the events and the aftermath of the massacre of 613 people that took place in February 1992 during the Nagorno-Karabakh War between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It follows two journalists, Lithuanian Ricardas (Richard) Lapaitis and Russian Victoria Ivleva, as they return to Azerbaijan to discover what had happened to survivors they had met at the time.
A member of International Eurasia Press Fund ,Richard Lapatis's "Endless Corridor" documentary film produced by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on the basis of his footages on the frontline was presented in many countries around the world.
