Azerbaijan has successfully developed the tourism sector in recent years. This is evidenced by the growing number of tourists visiting the country every year. More and more people from the US, Europe and other countries choose Azerbaijan for tourist and business trips.
This was stated in an interview with CBC by an assistant to the president of the International Eurasia Press Fund Anastasia Lavrina.
To her, the favorable geographical position of Azerbaijan, the availability of hotels, various tourist resorts play an important role in the development of tourism
"There are a lot of good ski resorts in Azerbaijan that do not differ in quality and accessibility from European ones. For example, many people prefer to spend their leisure time in the Shahdag ski resort. The hotels should also be noted for their number, availability and diversity" Lavrina said.
In Azerbaijan, tourists are also attracted by clean mountain air, such health-improving centers as Naftalan, the high level of security ensured in the country, accessibility and quality of services provided, and, of course, the traditional hospitality of Azerbaijani tourism, noted A. Lavrina.
