Reiner Braun is Co-President of International Peace Bureau. In his his interview to “Eurasia Diary” he commented on terror attack in Manchester.
"Manchester is a tragedy for the people which are suffering by the attack. Every killed people is one too much. We need a deep change in the politics.
We need a politics of common understanding, cooperation and justice. The first step is to stop confrontation and war. Every war will create reaction: societal, individual. The bomb attacks in Paris, Manchester and Berlin are the result of the aggressive NATO and US politics called war against terror which is a war against people in many countries. The drones and the modern weapons on one side, the individual terror attacks on the other side, both are following the logics of the asymetric wars. It is time to stop and to start talking, negotiating with the enemy, with your friends you can go to the next bar and celebrate. Pecefull conflict solution and peaceful action is the alternative. Talking, cooperation and stop of wars and arms export- this creates peace. We are deeply sad about the victims on all sides, we want peace politics."
