Eurasia Diary presents its second audio program.
The podcast program hosted Eirini Raga, a senior Law student from Greece, a country which is considered one of the biggest stops for the immigrants and refugees on their way to Europe. Eirini shared her thoughts about refugees passing/staying in Greece. She mentioned that the timing of refugees flooding to her country was not the best time since the Greek government was in a very hard situation struggling to stand on its feet. She also stressed the distinguish between immigrants and refugees. Immigrants move to Europe for having a better life condition because they are not satisfied with the one they have in their own country. In contrast, refugees are those whose life was in danger and had to flee the international borders.
She also had some words about what the situation likes in the districts where immigrants and refugees settle down. Last but not the least, Eirini briefly explained about the international NGOs and UN Refugee Agency operating in Greece.
