French writer and documentary film-maker Jennifer Gentet talked about her impression and main goal of her visit to Azerbaijan in her interview with Eurasia Diary. She stated that although it is her first trip to Azerbaijan, she is impressed by what she saw in this country.
“I would say there is so much to know about Azerbaijan: the culture, the food, the glamour. The country is very safe. I just enjoy myself and I enjoy my time here in Azerbaijan.”
She said that during the visit aimed at discovering the country she coincidentally met the people who helped her.
“One of them was the President of International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev, and then I met the Chairman of Azerbaijani Press Council Aflatun Amashov,” Jennifer added.
French film-maker mentioned that she wants to come back to the country again and to visit Sheki and many other places.
Jennifer Gentet also shared her impression about Azerbaijani national foods.
“I’ve been eating dolma, I ate plov, a lot of barbeques and the vegetables. Very taste, the meat here is very flavorful,” she said.
She concluded that Azerbaijan is very tolerant and historical place. There are synagogues, churches, mosques, as well as temples. Jewish, Muslim and Christian people live in peace in Azerbaijan and there is no any kind of racism or discrimination.
