Tunisia striving towards peace and normalcy Kaci Racelma

Interviews 12:11 12.10.2016

Kaci is one of the senior journalists and he is right now in Tunisia and a lot of experience regarding international conflicts and terrorism in this region. So, we would like to talk with Kaci about current situation in Tunisia regarding peace and turning Tunisia towards normalcy.

Eurasia Diary: You are in Tunisia right now and, please, tell me that how the situation is there? Because Tunisia is one of the country has been badly targeted by ISIS and ISIL. There was a deadliest attack on the seaside to the international and foreign tourists, so how you see this current situation right now?

Kaci Racelma: The attacks in Tunisia against Bardo Museum and seaside tourist station in Sousse is now the part of the past. Tunisian government is striving the country, to recover peace and stability. A lot of soldiers and a lot of securities services are mobilized in all streets in the cities of the country. They monitor situation with the Algerian neighbor. Algerian security services have mobilized in their term to help the Tunisian neighbor to remove from this current situation and to recover security to make coming of a lot of tourists to generate benefit it and to reinforce their economy and budget.

Eurasia Diary: Let us know that currently the government in Tunisia, can you say that they have control over on the territorial boundaries of Tunisia?

Kaci Racelma: Yes the outline is to be solved. Current security situation is going to impact negatively to the situation in Libya. In Libya foreign attacks against the Islamic State a terrorist from some terrorist’s groups and individual jihadist of Tunisian origin to flee to Tunisia. Thanks to experience Tunisian security services for having contact with Algerian neighbors. They are allowed to control, to stop some bad events from happening. For example, in Sousse, Hamas and the capital city of Tunisia, the number of tourists is increasing and it imposes itself as well. So, we have the serious remark that mobilization of security services to protect these tourists who have chosen Tunisia as their own final decision.

Eurasia Diary: What are the current circumstances on the floating of migrants from Tunisia to  Europe? Is still continues or stopped?

Kaci Racelma: The fleeing to Europe cannot be stop if the situation in different spheres is getting worst. Even the economy in Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya in all these regions is getting worst. And bad economic situation moves people to flee region situation of migrants.

Eurasia Diary: Being the journalist and security analyst, what is the biggest challenge in Tunisia for the Tunisian government and people right now?

Kaci Racelma: Challenge of Tunisian government and people’s duty is to unify forces, to harmonize all the energy, to build up sovereignty country that is able to cope with what was happening internationally.  And to cope with international economic situation and international situation required from Southern Mediterranean country. It requires mobilizing the forces to build up stable country where people can live in peace.

Eurasia Diary: What are the local jihadists groups and who are the part of the ISIL and ISID, do you have some information about these groups?

Kaci Racelma: Yes, we must know that jihadists are mostly due to the migrant policies. In addition, they have cleverest and they have good experience in the war and in the jihad domain. So they have ability to cope rapidly to the new situation. For example, as America and Western nations have launched attacks in the locality of seat to break this organization. Rapidly, they had succeeded and organized themselves in small groups and they have strategically occupied ground in small number and whole groups are attached to obey to the chiefs in Southern territory. Despite to control the movement of their enemies and to go neighbor countries such as Sudan, Algeria. So, as you see that they have strategies, they have enough intelligence to cope the situations.
