US President Donald Trump will visit Afghanistan, which will be his first after taking office nearly two years ago, Afghan media reported.
Trump revealed this in an interview with Fox News after being asked why he hasn’t visited US troops serving in war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Well, I think you will see that happen,” Trump said. “There are things that are being planned. We don’t want to talk about it because of -- obviously because of security reasons and everything else.”
Trump added that he was very much opposed to the war in Iraq. “I think it was a tremendous mistake, should have never happened.”
