Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday Turkey will continue to hit terrorist targets inside northern Iraq.
"We are determined to bring peace and security to regions east of the Euphrates River," Erdogan told a meeting of the OIC member/observer states judicial conference at Istanbul's Dolmabahce Palace.
"Turkey wasted enough time to intervene with the terror swamp east of the Euphrates. We will no longer tolerate a single day of delay," he said."
The Turkish Defense Ministry said earlier Friday that Turkish jets have destroyed over 30 terror targets in northern Iraq in an overnight operation.
The army used over 20 warplanes as well as drones and refueling aircraft during the operation in which the Mount Karajak area -- some 165 km (102 miles) inside Iraq -- was hit for the first time, it said.
