Turkey on Monday harshly reacted to remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump over PKK/YPG terrorist organizations in Syria and a possible Turkish military operation against those groups.
"Terror groups now control one-third of Syria and they aim to divide the country," Mevlut Cavusoglu told reporters in the capital Ankara.
In a Twitter post on Sunday, Trump threatened to "devastate Turkey economically if they hit Kurds".
