"The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be settled by peaceful, politico-diplomatic means," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov said in an interview with the Armenian media during Brussels-Moscow flight.
"Everyone believes that the results are different. Everyone builds his own story, indicating who is to blame and who is right. In general, to my mind, April 2016 showed that, unfortunately, peace is not coming (to the region - ed.)”, Mammadyarov said.
According to him, the conflict must be resolved peacefully. "The biggest threat to a peaceful settlement is war. In this matter, of course, the Armenian troops should be recalled from the Azerbaijani territories, which, unequivocally, will create a completely different reality and new opportunities for the two nations to resolve the conflict, " the minister said.
Mamedyarov pointed out that the territory of Azerbaijan is still occupied by Armenian soldiers. “What is an Armenian citizen in military service doing on the territory of Azerbaijan?”, the minister asked the Armenian journalist.
