In the final round of presidential elections, Ukrainians decide who will be their president. In the result of first round, two candidate with holding most votes participate in the second round, comedian actor Volodymyr Zelensky and incumbent president Petro Poroshenko.
People of Ukraine will choose its president today. Citizens of Ukraine living in foreign states will also attend in elections. The polling stations organized in embassies will serve the citizens for elections. Eurasia Diary has been in the Embassy of Ukraine to Azerbaijan and took the inofrmation about electoral process from chairman of committe Ilgar Hasanov.
"In comparison with previous round, more people was registered for elections, so that 367 citizens will be able to participate in the elections according to the list submitted by the Ukrainian Central Election Committee," the chairman of the committee said," chairman of committe said.
According to the statistics at 12:30, 137 people voted. Speaking about the process, Ilgar Hasanov said that the votes are calculated with the participation of more than half of the commission members in the embassy and sent to the Ukrainian Central Electoral Committee.
The chairman of the committee has announced the results of the previous election. In the first round of the elections, 175 out of 285 people on the list took part in the voting. 65 of Ukrainian citizens voted Poroshenko and 43 others voted for Zelensky.
Generally, the votes abroad are covered by 0.4% of the total vote.
The chairman of the committee said that no problem has been observed in today's elections. Voters may get acquainted with voting rules from the stand at the entrance of the embassy and may also benefit from the board of information about candidates.
