Senior political figures and leading Pakistani thinker said that visited Tehran within a conference. They have shown support to Iran amid tensions with US.
They emphasized on the government to strengthen relations with Iran by addressing issues of mutual concern and building trade ties.
They said that Iran and Pakistan should cooperate for the greater Asia region. They also stressed upon the need for the implementation of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project for Pakistan’s national interest.

In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Pakistan’s Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi said that despite sanctions Iran is progressing in all sectors.
'They are developing infrastructure; their literacy rate is 95 percent which shows that Iranian society is moving in a right direction,' he said.
The minister said many countries in the world have rejected US unilateral sanctions against Iran. 'I don't agree with the sanctions.'
