Yegishe Kirakosyan, Armenia's representative on international legal issues, voiced slanderous opinions against Azerbaijan at today's International Court of Justice.
Ednews reports that Y. Kirakosyan claims that Azerbaijan allegedly implements a policy of gross racial discrimination against Armenians based on their nationality:
"Azerbaijani children are taught to hate Armenians and kill them, the state media of Azerbaijan spreads hateful speeches, state officials disarm Armenians nationally and call for the complete extermination of Armenians."
Kirakosyan especially noted that this is state-sanctioned racism.
There is no propaganda of "hatred of Armenians" to children in the Azerbaijani mentality. Azerbaijani people are humane, compassionate, and tolerant. The false and provocative opinions voiced by the Armenian side aim to create confusion in the international community.
In the continuation of his speech, Y. Kirakosyan claims that the long-term racial discrimination policy of the Azerbaijani state against the Armenians reached its peak in September 2020 when Azerbaijan started a war of aggression against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh:
"The goal was to erase and expel ethnic Armenians from their homeland. During 44 days, Azerbaijani soldiers killed ethnic Armenians, tortured them, insulted them, and shouted racial insults, and they proudly filmed themselves committing unimaginable violence against ethnic Armenian civilians and Armenian prisoners of war. This violence and intimidation was used by Azerbaijan to carry out ethnic cleansing by expelling at least 30,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh.
We do not accept the baseless claims, we want to note once again that the false and provocative opinions voiced by the Armenian side are aimed at creating confusion in the international community. It is interesting that Kirakosyan denies the facts known in the international community. All this has been emphasized many times by government representatives, especially the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in tripartite and bilateral meetings, international summits, world-renowned publications, and media agencies, and it has been emphasized that we have taken back our rightful territories, and the Armenians living in the territory should be given every opportunity to live in the territory. we have created a condition.
Azerbaijan is fighting its rightful war on its sovereign lands, which was mentioned in 4 UN resolutions (822, 853, 874, 884) as noted by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov yesterday.
