Samuel Wordsworth, who refuted Armenia's groundless claims against Azerbaijan in the "Armenia vs. Azerbaijan" case at the International Court of Justice held in The Hague, spoke in the courtroom on April 17.
Ednews reports that during his speech, Wordsworth said that the allegations of ethnic cleansing in Armenia are completely groundless and without evidence:
"During yesterday's trial, the Armenian side did not provide evidence to support its claims. First, no evidence of violence and ethnic cleansing against ethnic Armenians, as claimed by Armenia, has been shown. When talking about ethnic violence, the Armenian side did not mention the violence committed against Azerbaijanis at all. Because, Armenia acted in a short period of time.
In addition, the Armenian side has repeatedly repeated that there is an issue of Armenophobia in the region. In yesterday's hearing, Mr. Murphy repeatedly emphasized that Azerbaijan committed acts of violence against soldiers and civilians of Armenian descent. However, the Armenian side has not shared any evidence to confirm these claims. Armenia's allegations of ethnic cleansing and racial violence still remain unfounded."
