President of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) Umud Mirzayev met with a director of the United Aid (UAFA) for Azerbaijan Gwen Burchell. The meeting was held in the IEPF office.
Gwen Burchell informed Umud Mirzayev about the mission of UAFA and its long-term objective. This organization was founded in 1998 with a mission to ‘aid long-term development of life in Azerbaijan, with particular focus on children, health and education. During 20 years UAFA has grown up to be a well-known NGO both inside Azerbaijan and across the international social policy sector.
Umud Mirzayev informed the guests about key work directions of the IEPF in international arena. IEPF has long and outstanding experience working with refugees and IDPs since the time of establishment in 1992. Umud Mirzayev talked about different projects, which are being implemented by the organization in cooperation with various international and locally-based organizations, UN entities and embassies.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council, Member of Azerbaijani Parliament Aflatun Amashov also participated in discussion.
The parties discussed future prospects for establishment of the long-term cooperation between the IEPF and UAFA.
Gwen Burchell also became acquainted with the activity of Eurasia Diary, international analytical information gateway, established under the auspices of the IEPF.
Director assistant Sevinj Qasimova and PR and Social Media manager Saleh Nasirov also attended the meeting.
