The welcoming ceremony for new members of the Baku International Students Organization (BISO) was held in the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF). The IEPF President Umud Mirzayev welcomed over 100 students from the various countries studying in Azerbaijan and informed them about the Fund and opportunities for the foreign students in the organization.
He said that every year the students from different countries apply for the internship programs and get experience at several departments of the IEPF. The fund regularly organizes trip to the frontline regions of Azerbaijan for foreign students to get to know the realities about the Nagorno-Karabakh war. The students actively contribute to the social aid campaigns related to refugees and IDPs. Their impressions, articles were translated into the different languages and published.
The new managerial staff of the BISO was presented to the audience in line with agenda. They delivered a speech on the future activity of the organization. Within the cultural part of the event, the foreign students demonstrated their culture, dance and performed various group dances.
Ayseba Mirzayeva, Founder of the BISO who currently works for Al-Jazeera joined the event via live stream and shared her thoughts on the future prospects of the organization.
Meanwhile, today BISO which was established in 2006 under the auspieces of the IEPF, plays an important role as a platform for the foreign students studying in Azerbaijan. There are opportunities for foreign students to carry out their idea in BISC.
BISO aims to carry out activities and conduct projects related to the integration of inter-governmental cultural and moral values, contribute to the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, join the struggle against terror in the globalized world, and assist to the foreign youth coming into Azerbaijan either on personal motives or academic purposes.
