As is known, the United States suspended the issuance of nonimmigrant visas in all diplomatic missions in Turkey.
"Recent events forced the US to reconsider the Turkish government's commitments to security for US embassy staff. Our embassy and consulates suspended work on issuing nonimmigrant visas to reduce the number of visitors," CNN Turk quoted the statement of the American diplomatic mission, reports Eurasia Diary.
Turkey's reaction did not take long. The Turkish Embassy in the United States announced the suspension of the issuance of nonimmigrant visas to American citizens.
Eurasia Diary asked to comment on this fact of the political analyst, the head of the Center for Political Studies "Atlas" Elkhan Shakhinoglu.
"A few days ago in New York, US President Donald Trump called his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan a friend. And what did this "friend" do? With Stopping issuing visas for Turkish citizens, Washington removes this country from the United States and makes relations between it with Moscow and Tehran even stronger. Why Washington needs it? Why do they reflect Turkey even more? It is not clear that Washington is making mistakes in a row. On the contrary, one must fight for the minds in Turkey, but Washington acts quite opposite, another example is Saudi Arabia. Eternal ally Saudi Arabia is already thinks of taking the side of Moscow.
First, without taking into account the interests of Turkey, Washington supports combat groups in Syria, which are subordinated to the terrorist organization of the PKK. Secondly, Washington does not extradite Fatullah Gulen, who wanted to organize a military putsch in Turkey, where more than 250 people were killed. Washington goes further and stops issuing visas for Turkish citizens. In fact, Washington is directing Turkey to Russia, without understanding this.
In my opinion, Donald Trump's presidency will end with the US losing its influence in the world and this will be the beginning of the end for the unipolar world. But, unfortunately, the world will not be better and safer. "
