The Ashihara Kaykan Karate World Championship is being held in Aktau, Kazakhstan. 11 Azerbaijani athletes participated in the World Championship held on November 07-10.
Eurasia Diary reports, President of the Azerbaijan Ashihara Kaykan Karate Federation Honored Master of Sports, 5th black belt master Maarif Bagirov, vice presidents and president of AZGERSU Vusal Mammadov and President of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev are participating in the World Championship. On the eve of the championship, the leadership of the Federation met with President of the World Ashihara Association, Kanco Aicha, and discussed the development of martial arts in Azerbaijan.
Ashihara Karate was created by Hideyuki Aichahara, and after being engaged in both judo and karate, he laid the foundations for this sport. The moves available in this sport are used not only in the competition but also in street fights. Note that the Azerbaijan Ashihara Karate Federation has been functioning since 2002.
