Following Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, Hugo Lloris has taken the brunt of the blame.
The World Cup winner twice added to his list of blunders this season as a Toby Alderweireld own-goal won it late on for the Reds.
The defeat on Merseyside was Spurs’ fourth in their last five leaving their hopes of a top-four finish in major jeopardy.
Mauricio Pochettino is not planning to drop Lloris despite yet another two mistakes made against Liverpool.
His first error came following a misplaced clearance which allowed Roberto Firmino to head Liverpool into the lead.
Later, in the closing stages, Lloris parried Mohamed Salah’s header against Alderweireld with the resulting ricocheted effort rolling past him to cost his side a point.
In the summer, Pochettino and his staff are also not looking to sign a new goalkeeper despite his various errors this season.
Over the last three seasons, only Everton’s Jordon Pickford (9) has made more errors leading to goals in the Premier League than Lloris (8).
Lloris is also expected to maintain his spot in the line-up when Tottenham take on Crystal Palace at their new stadium tomorrow.
