On 25-26 October, Baku Forum on Sustainable Development, jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and the United Nations (UN) Country Office on “Strengthening regional partnerships in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals” was held in the framework of Baku International Humanitarian Forum. The Baku Forum involved high-level representatives from the European and Asian countries responsible for the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda, UN officials, international and local experts, civil society, as well as authorized representatives representing the public and private sectors.
During IV Session: Role of the United Nations Mainstreaming, Acceleration and Policy Support (MAPS) in the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals- UNICEF Representative to Azerbaijan Edward Carwardine mentioned some crucial points that should been made in order to achieve particular targets on the ways of national and social development. Moreover, Edward Carwardine pointed out some practices that already have benefited general localization of goals covering 2030 Agenda.
