On Tuesday, November 13, the V Republican Exhibition of Youth Organizations was held at the Baku Crystal Hall media center organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, where more than 100 youth structures were represented, Eurasia Diary informs.

The exhibition was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Akhmedov, Head of the Youth Policy and Sports Department of the Presidential Administration Yusuf Mammadaliyev, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov. The main goal of the exhibition was to demonstrate the achievements of youth organizations and to encourage young people to actively engage in social activities.

The Baku International Students Club (BISC) was represented by a group of international students studying in Azerbaijan. Students from several countries spoke about the main activities of the organization, including the initiatives aimed at supporting the implementation of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.

BISC acquainted the audience with a number of projects that have been successfully implemented since the inception of the Club in 2006. Further cooperation and joint activities were discussed with a number of youth organizations represented at the exhibition.

Students also shared information about the 3rd All-Republican Forum of Foreign Students in Azerbaijan, supported by Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, which will be held in February 2019 at Baku Congress Center. The main purpose of the Forum is to unite all foreign students studying in Azerbaijan and familiarize them with the cultures and traditions of the country. In addition, students will get a unique chance to share their impressions, ask questions that concern them and discuss the future activities of BISC. The participation of officials and representatives of a number of diplomatic missions is expected.

Baku International Students Club (BISC) was created with support of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) and a group of volunteers at the end of 2006. In 2007, the organization was officially registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The organization plays an important role acting as a platform for foreign students studying in Azerbaijan giving all participants the opportunity to realize their ideas in BISC.

BISC aims to carry out activities and conduct projects related to the integration of inter-governmental cultural and moral values, contribute to the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, join the struggle against terror in the globalized world, and assist to the foreign youth coming into Azerbaijan either on personal motives or academic purposes.
