On November 20, World Children's Day was celebrated by the members of the Azerbaijan Youth Advocacy Program (AYAP) in a special way. With the support of UNICEF and the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), the Youth Advisory Council of the project prepared a video interview with local executive authorities in the border regions.
The Executive Authority leaders of Terter, Barda and Goranboy, talked with children and answered questions about the region and the development of children.
On November 19, children were invited to the UNICEF office in the country where the interview was presented, and the children were familiarized with the principles of UNICEF work.
In the afternoon, AYAP members were familiarized with the working process of the International Eurasia Press Fund.
Keeping the tradition of World Children's Day, they had a chance to publish the news on the information portal of IEPF, Eurasia Diary.
Interviews of AYAP members with local executive authorities will be broadcasted on social platforms of UNICEF Azerbaijan and IEPF and other sources throughout the day.
It should be noted that World Children's Day was celebrated as a holiday in 1954 by UN General Assembly Resolution No. 836 (IX), and since 1956 it has been celebrated in honor of children in all states.
The main goal of the AYAP project is to support active participation in decision-making processes in the life and development of young people and adolescents, and to increase their social activity.
