The Kingdom of Morocco hosts on March 25, 2019 in Marrakech the African Ministerial Conference on the African Union Support to the United Nations Process on the Regional Dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
This conference, involving the participation of forty African countries from the five sub-regions of the continent, aims at expressing support for Decision Assembly / AU / Dec.693 (XXXI), adopted at the 31st Summit of the AU, held on 1 and 2 July 2018 in Nouakchott (Mauritania). This decision reaffirms the United Nations exclusivity in handling the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
The organisation of this conference is part of the wise and enlightened vision of the African states to strengthen the unity of the continent and the rejection of any attempt to deviate from its urgent priorities in sustainable human development, regional integration and prosperity of its citizens.
