The non-governmental organization "Zelyonaya Civilization" (Green Civilization), operating in Russia, has warned that African plague, hepatitis, and malaria may spread in flood-affected areas.
According to Ednews, the director of the organization, Dmitry Fyodorov, told Novye Izvestia that floods can create favorable conditions for the spread of epidemic diseases. The expert warned that there is a danger of spreading hepatitis and dysentery as a result of flooding of toilets and septic tanks.
The governor of Kurgan, Vadim Shumkov, said that the peak of the flood is Kurgan, and the dam areas are at high risk.
