Two Turkish soldiers were killed in Idlib by attack of Assad regime forces, northwestern Syria and two more wounded, The National Defense Ministry reported today.
The soldiers were in the area for monitoring the ceasefire. According to Turkish state media, 114 regime targets were bombarded. As a result of bombardments three tanks were seized and an air defense missile system and one Zu-23 anti-aircraft gun, as well as other vehicles, were destroyed.
Idlib is home to 3 million Syrians many of them are displaced people. Turkey holds 3.5 million Syrian refugees and current tensions raised concerns for increasing the number of refugees.
