Russian peacekeepers have taken control of the Lachin corridor in Karabakh.
The statement came from Sergei Rudskoi, Chief of the Main Operations Department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Eurasia Diary reports citing RIA Novosti.
"At this stage, the front units of the Russian Armed Forces have established temporary checkpoints in the Lachin corridor and the Lachin-Turshsu road," he said.
According to him, "the subdivisions of the first peacekeeping battalion of the 15th separate motorized infantry brigade marched three hundred kilometers after landing at Erebuni airport and concentrated in the territory of Gorus settlement."
