The courage shown by the servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army, the braveness and professionalism they demonstrated while performing their military service in the patriotic War conducted for the liberation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the occupation and to restore the territorial integrity has caused to achive victory which engraved with gold letters in the history, Eurasia Diary reports citing APA.

Numerous military servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been awarded with the orders of the Republic of Azerbaijan for heroism shown while conducting combat instructions, for the bravery demonstrated while carrying out military service duty.

From the first day of start of counter-attack operations aimed at liberation of occupied territories although Azerbaijani civilians were subjected to attack by the Armenian side, as Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev gave instruction to strike blows on only legitimate military targets of the enemy at the battlefield, steadily follow norms and principles of international humanitarian law in attitude to military captured persons and civilian population, as well as requirements of Geneva Convention. Guided by instructions of Supreme Commander-in-Chief, soldiers and officials of the Azerbaijani Army demonstrated high culture and humanism, belonging to our nation, in attitude to civilian people, as well as women, children, and the elder people, captured militants, religious persons, approached attention and care, this attitude was broadly covered during meetings of these persons with representatives of International Committee of Red Cross, through their interviews to local and mass media.

It is unfortunate that under the influence of the severe psychological state of the war, the mistakes of some servicemen in understanding the methods and techniques of struggle against the enemy led to the courage and crushing of the Armed Forces, as well as illegal actions that could overshadow the victory.

Thus, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Military Prosecutor's Office analyzed video footage of Azerbaijani servicemen insulting the bodies of Armenian servicemen killed in hostilities, as well as inhumane treatment of captured Armenian servicemen, published in some media and social media pages. Although some of the videos have been found to be fake, there are serious doubts as to whether some of them are true or not.

In addition to the information given to the press earlier, we inform that on the basis of the materials collected in connection with the above information, the Military Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and carried out intensive investigative measures.

Rashad Aliyev and Gardashkhan Abishov, serving as junior sergeants in the "N" military unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, were charged with insulting the bodies of Armenian servicemen killed during hostilities in Zangilan region. Substantial suspicions have been identified that they were sent to individuals.

The investigation also revealed grounds for suspicion that the soldiers of the "N" military unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan Arzu Huseynov and Umid Agayevcommitted insulting acts by destroying Armenian gravestones in the cemetery, videotaped their actions on a smartphone and sent them to others through social networks.

R. Aliyev, G. Abishov, A. Huseynov and U. Agayev was charged under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and was remanded in custody.
