Turkey-Russia Joint Centre established under the observation of the ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh continues activities. In the Centre, where Turkish and Russian soldiers work together, measures are taken to prevent ceasefire violations, Eurasia Diary reports citing Turkish Defence Ministry.
Colonel Ali Karakaş, one of our soldiers on duty at the Centre, told the press members that their main task is to end all conflicts in the region and to control the ceasefire.
Stating that the collection, consolidation and verification of data related to violations are organised in the Centre, Colonel Karakaş said, "Here, observations are made, data from UAVs and other sources are evaluated and recorded. Relevant complaints, issues or problems are examined, measures are taken to prevent ceasefire violations." he added.
Colonel Mihail Zavalkin, one of the Russian military officers, said that they were conducting surveillance with UAVs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and that no violations were detected so far.
