Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared on Wednesday that during the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit, which will be held in Washington, from July 9 to July 11, his country would like to see "at least one concrete step" on its path to joining the organization.
Speaking at a press conference in Lithuania, the president underlined that he expects 2024 to be decisive not just for Kiev, but the whole world. "Absolutely everything that Ukraine seeks for itself will work for the security and independence of every nation threatened by Russia," he stressed.
Talking about the war, he remarked that the country currently needs modern air defense systems. Zelensky further noted that Ukraine's allies are not pressuring it to halt its fight against Russia or freeze the conflict.
