United States President Joe Biden's Senior Adviser for Energy and Investment Amos Hochstein stressed on Tuesday that a ceasefire in Gaza would prevent further escalationalong the border between Israel and Lebanon.
"The conflict along the Blue Line between Israel and Hezbollah has gone on for long enough. Innocent people are dying, property is damaged, families are shattered and the Lebanese economy continues to decline," Hochstein said while addressing the press in Beirut. "What President Biden wants to do is avoid further escalation to a greater war that is the effort here it will take everyone's interest in ending this conflict now."
Following his visit to Israel, Hochstein arrived in Lebanon to alleviate tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
