The Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday that Ukrainian forces have suffered up to 660 casualties in their offensive in Russia's Kursk region, including 400 killed and injured troops in one day. Ukraine has also lost 82 armored vehicles, including eight tanks, the ministry said.
Yesterday, the Kursk governor declared a state of emergency as fighting in the region continues. Local authorities also said they have evacuated around 3,000 people from the area so far.
