On June 21, the traditional Music Festival - Fête de la Musique – will launch in the streets, squares and parks of Baku, Eurasia Diary reports.
The live music festival is open for both professional and amateur musicians. There is no limit and all music genres are welcome. Musicians will play in the squares of Baku and Icheri Sheher, in the Fountains Square and Nizami Street.
The organizers of the event are the Embassy of France to Azerbaijan, French Institute in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, State Department of the Historical and Architectural Reserve of Icherisheher, YARAT Contemporary Art Space, Street Food Festival and Max Events.
Fête de la Musique which is also known as the Day of Music or the World Music Day, is a music festival that is held annually on June 21. First time it was organized in Paris in 1982 and now every year it takes place in more than 100 countries and 340 cities around the world. Fête de la Musique is a free stage for professionals and amateurs.
