International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) held a press conference for the presentation of Al Jazeera's TV Program "Al-Mosafer"s films dedicated to Azerbaijan.
Noting that, AL-Mosafer program continues broadcasting documental films about Azerbaijan made together with IEPF. The films aim to convey the rich history, culture, mysterious nature of Azerbaijan, the ancient traditions of people, the way of life and the potential of tourism to the Arab world. Five films with 25 min each cover most regions of Azerbaijan, including Baku and Nakhchivan. The Al Jazeera Mosafer's professional film staff, visiting Azerbaijan from June 20 to July 12, filmed the sightseeing places, national cuisine, historical heritage, folklore and music of our country with the help and technical support of the International Eurasia Press Fund. So far, 4 of the films about Baku and several regions, including Shaki, Ganja, Guba and Khinalig have already been broadcts on AlJazeera. The films have been presented since November 23, every Saturday over the past five weeks. The episodes in thoe 4 films have caused serious interest and have attracted thousands on social networks. Speaking at the conference, the IEPF President Umud Mirzayev noted the special importance of films in terms of presenting and promoting our country in the Arab world:
“In general, the films make a great impression about our country and have incredible footages. We are very proud of working with this professional team of the Al Jazeera Mosafer which have been shooting in Spain, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Vietnam and other countries so far and represent our country. The film is the first international documentary to represent our country in a detailed, comprehensive form to the world with the work of professional team and the high-level equipment." Al Jazeera's host is Hazeem Abuvafta and screen director of the film presented by chief producer Ziyad Jalal is Nicholas Libersale.
"IEPF is the author of various projects jointly with the Al Jazeera Media Network. I would like to specially mention the services of Al Jazeera Media Director, our friend Mustafa Soug, Ibrahim Hamdan and Sami Al Hajj in the making of this project," Umud Mirzayev added.
