On April 30, a concert of the Baku Chamber Orchestra, students of the BMA and young pianists of the “Simurg” project was held in the Great Hall of the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Baku Music Academy.
EDnews reports that Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva watched the concert program.
The event was opened by the “Baku Chamber Orchestra” with Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s “Arazbari”. This was followed by interesting and colorful performances. Students and pupils performed works by Azerbaijani and world composers in the program.The concert, held with the participation of the artistic director of the Baku Chamber Orchestra, BMA rector, People’s Artist, Professor Farhad Badalbeyli and the group’s chief conductor, Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov, was met with great interest.
It should be noted that the main goal of the “Simurg” project is to identify and support talented young people. Throughout the academic year, the participants selected for the project work with professional teachers from the Central Music School under the Moscow Conservatory, the Moscow Conservatory, the Gnesin College of Music, the Croatian Academy of Music, and other prestigious educational institutions.
