We are interested in development of cooperation with the French Republic in such areas as industry, high technology, tourism," the Kyrgyz government’s press service reports referring to Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov as saying at a meeting with Ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan Mikael Roux,
"We are interested in investments from major French companies. Given that the republic is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, in countries of which 185 million people live, French companies have great opportunities to promote their products. From our side we are ready to provide the necessary support to businessmen who invest in the Kyrgyz economy," said Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Pankratov.
Pankratov said that this year marks 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and cooperation between the two countries should be developed progressively, both in trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Ambassador Michael Roux said that in recent years he has held a number of meetings with French businessmen.
"Many of them already have experience of working in countries of the region and are interested in the Kyrgyz market. I hope that our joint work will help strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries," concluded the French diplomat Michael Roux.
