Georgia seeks to successfully establish a bridge with Europe and become a guaranteed and reliable supplier of natural gas to European states, said Wang Lei, Vice President of China Tianchen Engineering Corporation (TCC), Trend reports via the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
He made the remarks at the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum 2019, which is being held in the Georgian capital on October 22-23.
Wang Lei spoke about current trends in energy supply, Georgia’s energy potential and joint projects in the country.
“We are implementing a project in Georgia, so we have studied this country well. We are currently working on the Gardabani project, which was commissioned by the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation. Georgia is a good resource for hydropower development. With regards to energy supply, we can contribute to the electrical safety of Georgia by building electric enterprises,” he said.
More than 2,000 delegates from 60 countries, including more than 30 official delegations, take part in the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum this year.
