At an international conference in Baku, Shahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy, proposed the development of a common Turkic literary language and the enhancement of procedures for the mutual recognition and equivalence of higher education diplomas and academic titles among Turkic states. He emphasized the necessity of advancing a unified education and science policy to bolster regional and global influence.
Mustafayev highlighted the "Turkic Barometer 2024" project, a significant initiative by the Turkic Academy, which examines current issues in scientific and educational cooperation among Turkic countries. The study, conducted in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye, surveyed 4,131 professors and teachers, along with 156 rectors, esteemed scholars, and education experts from leading universities. Based on the collected data and expert opinions, several recommendations have been presented to enhance collaboration in education and science across the Turkic world.
