Uzbekistan has purchased 200,000 Covid-19 test kits and 50,000 coveralls for fight against novel coronavirus, EDNews reports citing AKIpress.
The total weight of the cargo airlifted by the plane of the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan made around 20 tons.
The plane also carried humanitarian aid in form of medical supplies valued at 2.5 billion soums.
Uzbekistan plans to buy medical equipment and protective items for over 60 billion soums.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev earlier tasked to the Ministries of Health and Finance to buy 300,000 rapid test kits and 500 ventilators, to organize mobile laboratories in high-risk areas.
