JEAN-CLAUDE JUNCKER was filmed messing up a woman’s hair during a bizarre greeting in Brussels ahead of the EU Council summit.

President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker was filed messing up a woman’s hair during a greeting in Brussels. In the video, Mr Juncker is seen playing around with a blonde woman’s hair before kissing her on the cheek. The European Commission President was seen smirking as he walked away from the bizarre meeting.

Mr. Juncker was also seen later pulling a strange face on his entrance to the EU summit when greeting another woman.

It comes after Mr. Juncker criticized Brexit on Thursday evening after meeting Theresa May and EU leaders.

He said: “It is the UK leaving the EU. Our UK friends need to say what they want, instead of asking us to say what we want. I find it uncomfortable.”

He added: “We would like within a few weeks our UK friends to set out their expectations for us, because this debate is sometimes nebulous and imprecise.”

The Prime Minister was filmed confronting Mr. Juncker on Friday ahead of the EU summit in which appeared to be a frank discussion.

Arriving at the EU summit on Thursday, the Prime Minister attempted to play down hopes she would be able to re-negotiate her Brexit deal with Brussels.

She said: "My focus now is on ensuring that I can get those assurances that we need to get this deal over the line, because I genuinely believe it's in the best interests of both sides - the UK and the EU - to get the deal over the line, to agree a deal.

“But I recognise the strength of concern in the House of Commons and that's what I will be pushing to colleagues today.

“I don't expect an immediate breakthrough, but what I do hope is that we can start work as quickly as possible on the assurances that are necessary.”

Brexit: EU leaders 'do not believe' in May says Kuenssberg

Before the summit, EU leaders were clear the UK would not be able to renegotiate the Prime Minister’s Brexit agreement.

Mrs. May was warned by pro-Brexit MPs that they could not support her deal, with lots of politicians concerned at the backstop element of the Prime Minister’s Withdrawal Agreement, which threatens to keep the UK in the EU’s customs union indefinitely.

On Wednesday the Prime Minister fought off a vote of confidence in her leadership, with the backing of 200 Tory MPs.

The vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister was triggered after Mrs. May decided to push back a meaningful vote on her agreement, with MPs warning it would voted down in Parliament.
