A huge asteroid is to hurtle past Earth next week.
The rock, dubbed Asteroid (7482) 1994 PC1, is set to pass our planet on next Tuesday (January 18).
The asteroid - which is roughly two and a half times the size of the Empire State Building - is set to visit exactly at 4.51pm Eastern time (9.51pm GMT).
Asteroid (7482) 1994 PC1 - which is 1.1km in diameter- will be hurtling through space 1.2million miles away from Earth, reports the Mirror.
It will be our closest encounter with this particular asteroid for at least the next 200 years, according to inverse.com.
