“According to the Armenian mindset, the Turk must be killed”
Today, another broadcast of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicles project has been aired.
It discusses the mass massacres committed against Azerbaijanis during the early 20th century, particularly in 1905-1907, and the main objectives of the Armenians. It is stated that the March 31 genocide is neither the first nor the last tragedy in the fate and history of the Azerbaijani people. According to the historian, during this period, imperialist states promised stateless Armenians the creation of a homeland. As a result, Armenians, who united at the level of various parties and organizations, gathered weapons and ammunition and committed massacres against the Muslim-Turkish population and defenseless civilians. In 1918, Armenians ruthlessly killed innocent people not only in Ottoman territories but also in Northern Azerbaijan, as well as in both Western and Southern Azerbaijan. The main goal was to create an imaginary “Greater Armenia” state by completely exterminating the local population in this region, from sea to sea.
Professor A. Iskenderov emphasized that these events are actually a clear example of the long-standing hatred Armenians harbored towards Muslim Turks. The historian also pointed out that numerous documents related to the Armenian genocide crimes have been found in the archives of the USA, the UK, Turkey, Russia, and Georgia.
It is worth noting that the purpose of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicles project is to preserve and promote the names of our ancient lands, as well as to highlight the deportation of Azerbaijanis by Armenians, and to reveal the numerous toponyms, ancient settlements, necropolises, mounds, fortress and palace ruins, caravanserais, bridges, tombstone shrines, equestrian statues, temples, churches, mosques, shrines, and hearths that were once present in these areas. These findings confirm that the region was historically inhabited by Oghuz-Turkic people, and this fact is being shared with the international community.
