A week has passed from the publication of the petition adressed to Russian State Duma and the Federation Council prepared by the well-known Russian historian-Caucasian Oleg Kuznetsov about the recognition of the genocide committed against Azerbaijanis in Khojaly in 1992 from February 25 to 26 at the night. He is the author of numerous studies revealing the fraud of the Armenian history and the Armenian myth.
Oleg Kuznetsov gave an exclusive interview to Eurasia Diary on the results of the petition.
The petition collected 8 thousand signatures without any special financial and administrative support. After collecting 50 or 100 thousand signatures we will be able to go to "foreign market" and that will attract the attention of foreign media and Russian Federation at first.
Note that, according to the petition, it was Serzh Sargsyan, the current president of Armenia, then Chief of Staff of all illegal armed units in Nagorno Karabakh and then committee chairman of “self-defense forces” of separatists, who gave an order to commit an act of genocide in Khojaly.
The petition further stresses that the parliaments of Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, Jordan, Honduras and Djibouti recognized the Khojaly genocide committed against Azerbaijanis by transnational Armenian terrorism. Pakistan, Sudan, Israel, the Czech Republic, as well as the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) recognized the Khojaly tragedy as a crime against humanity.
