Iran's former Foreign Minister (2005-2010), Manouchehr Mottaki, gave an exclusive interview to Eurasia Dairy analytical information gateway regarding terrorism, globalization, its side effects and other urgent issues.
“Terrorism is considered as one of the side effects of the process of globalization”-said Manouchehr Mottaki in his interview.
To him, extremism is one of the dark sides of globalization.
“In the past we faced terrorism rarely. As a result of globalization, terrorism has become an international phenomenon. Today terrorism embraces not only one country, but also the whole world”-former minister stated.
According to his opinion, long time ago terrorists were eager to get into media, but now media tries to find them and so they find easily access to terrorists.
Manouchehr Mottaki also added that the government’s support to terrorism is more dangerous and it leads terrorism become a tool.
Stating that what happened all over the world has changed the social and political life of Middle East .
Manouchehr Mottaki stated:“Introducing Islam as a religion of terrorism is regrettable. All Muslim countries should work and make joint efforts in order to change this misunderstanding radically.”
“Islam has nothing to do with terrorism”-said former minister.
