United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon’s visit to South Caucasus has been postponed, said Chief Officer of the Department of Public Information of the UN Armenian Office, Armine Halajyan citing UN spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was going to visit Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia on a tour of the Caucasus region, according to the diplomatic sources.
“According to Dujarric, the Secretary General was interested in the South Caucasus region, yet due to urgent issues, his presence is needed elsewhere, so the visit to South Caucasus will be rescheduled,” Armine Halajyan said.
The Secretary General was also planning to visit Azerbaijan to attend the 7th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
