Pakistani PM to meet with Iranian President

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the Presidential Palace in Tehran on Monday during a two-day official visit to Iran.

After the official ceremony, Iran's president and Pakistan Prime Minister will have bilateral talks and the two countries’ high-ranking delegations will discuss issues of mutual interest.

The prime minister landed at the Tehran International Airport on Sunday, where he was warmly welcomed by Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki. 

Prime Minister Imran is accompanied by a delegation comprising Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari, Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Zafarullah Mirza and Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Baber.

He is expected to meet Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei and other top government functionaries today.
