Provocative statementa are spread about- Kesikcidag which it is also located on the Azerbaijani Georgian border.

According to the Eurasia Dairy, Khalaf Khalafov said it in his statement to journalists.

According to his words border issues should be resolved withhin intergovernmental negotiations. ‘’We are working on the state border delamitation with Georgia since 1996.’’ During this period we have always conducted negotiations. We have delimited two-third of the border with Georgia, but we has not finished delimitation of one-third of the border. It requires very big work. ’Negotiations are continuing’’.

Khalaf Khalafov also said that; These issues don't rely on thesomeone’s opinion on religious and historical ideas.

This issue can only solve with legal means. Azerbaijan and Georgia lives within the boundaries for 100 year. Of course  there are not documents about existence of borders. For this I inform it again, such issues  will be solved by legal means and negotiations.  Besides there is a mutual friendship, neighborhood relationship between peoples of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Strategic partnership relationship combine Azerbaijan and Georgia . We has been done international strategic importance works with participation of both states. Today we are working about this project.

Deputy Minister also said various statements contradict the interests of both states;

Such conversations can not serve the solution of the issue. The potential of inter-state relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia will lead the solution of the problem by legal ways.
